My Career Goals

Goals
Since I am majoring in Business Administration Marketing, after graduation, I would like to work in the marketing or finance environment as a sales representative or bank teller.

Preparation
This is my second semester at Sheridan College. Up to now, I have studied hard, fortunately, my Grade Point Average is high. However, I am thinking about transferring to the university to get a degree eventually so that it can widen my career field. During my college life, I will try to get enough experience to prepare my future career.

MIS and My Career

Management Information System is the development and use of Information System that help business achieve their goals and objectives.

There are many management information system in marketing area. For instance, marketing research management information system, customer service management information system, delivery management information system.

1)Marketing Research MIS: Marketers and managers can easily research the market and get the ideas and trends through MIS. Owing to that, it helps them to be more familiar with the potential market and market they have and make improvement about the products, service.

2)Customer Service MIS: People who work in the customer service department have to deal with problems customers have, requests customers ask for so that they can earn the first-hand information, feedback through the MIS.

3)Delivery MIS: The Delivery MIS should consist of customer information which probably include E-mail addresses, phone numbers, their preferences. The managers, marketers and delivery people are able to pay more attention on customers and whole markets and manage time more effectively and efficiently to achieve their business goals.

My IS Day

Information System is a system of hardware, software, data, procedures and people that produce information.

The information systems I utilize everyday consist of E-mail, blog.

The hardware of them is my ASUS PC.

The software is Microsoft.

The data is the information I would like to share and talk about.

The procedures: Turn on the computer, and access to the Internet and receiving, sending, and writing through E-mail and blog.

People: I utilize E-mail,blog to connect with my friends, teachers.If they would like to send me some instant messages, generally, they would use msn to contact me. Here is the link: http://home.live.com/

My Favourite Sustainable and Disruptive Technologies

The disruptive technology I use on a daily basis is the PC. After I
finish my assignment, I usually surf the Internet, go to facebook and watch shows for entertainment and English improvement. However, I can easily be distracted by chatting with friends, family through Internet when I write an essay or concentrate on my online lab sometimes. As far as I am concerned, I do have to enhance my self-control ability and time management skills.






The sustainable technology I use everyday is the Cellphone. Since I have not signed for any phone plan in Canada, I can only use that for alarm function and telling time. In general, I can not be distracted by the cellphone. I think it is a good way to concentrate myself on other important things instead of texting and chatting with my friends through the cellphone.

My Personal Achievement

During my study time at different ages, my parents foster my interest in a variety of fields, for instance, calligraphy, track and field and dancing, so that I was able to win a lot of competitions. Meanwhile, because I care about the environment around us and other people, I participated as volunteer in organizations as well.

Obtained the Excellent Prize in the Hope Star Cup for the national children photography competition at the age of 8 after learning it for three months

Earned the Six Grade by my calligraphy work in the 2001's Calligraphy Grade Valuation

Earn a lot of prizes which include School Sports Meeting, Sports Meeting of Sichuan in track and field

Took part in the Red Cross Association in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, accompanying senior citizens in alms-house

Joined the 512 Earthquake relief as a volunteer in Shifang,Sichuan which is the disaster-affected area in 2008

Did a part-time job at McDonald's and donated all the earnings to the diaster area.

Organized activities to appeal to environmental protection and to plants protection

My Educational Achievement

Since I went to school in 1995, I have always been the leader of the class, grade, even the whole school.Teachers are proud of me, and I get along with my classmates.

• When I was in Shude Middle School in China, which is my high school, I earned the title of Excellent Student.
• Before that, I studied at Chengdu Experimental Foreign Language School, I earned the title of Excellent Student in two years.
• In the primary school, I earned the title of Excellent Leader.

My Employment History

Due to the high pressure from school, parents and society, as Chinese student, we do not have too much spare time to work, even as a part-time worker. However, I utilized the limited spare time to make effort to contribute to the society, to get the experience and to care about people around me.Generally, most of jobs I did were voluntary.

I am the leader of the School Youth Volunteer Association, and I had taken part in the Red Cross Association in China, accompanying senior citizens in alms-house for several years.

After the 512 Earthquake happened, I joined the relief in one of the most disastered area which is Shifang.

I had a part-time job at McDonald's, and I donated all the money I earned to the people from the disaster area.
